While there's a few reasons why this party is being held, the bottom line is to have a bit of knees-up: something fun to do on a Saturday night. If you know someone who should be invited, tell them about it and get them to come along.

Look for red hearts stuck on lamp posts near the venue pointing the way.
Catering:
There'll be some food nibblies and more and some drinks provided but please be encouraged to bring a plate and your favourite tipple. If you're a champion baker or party food maker, let others sample your work!
Entertainment:
Main band of the night is the party band "Massive Fergusons" who do a very entertaining mix of rock'n'roll, country, blues and R&B. Bring along your dancing shoes and be prepared to have a good laugh too. Also on the program is "Blues Train", and there's special guests appearing through the night. Tasteful acoustic music at the beginning of the night, then it gets progressively more up-tempo.
Also during the night will be a collection of band lineups of very talented friends doing a few songs each.
Parking:
The hall is at the start of Cordelia Street, not far from where Vulture Street turns into it. Because Cordelia Street is one way, this is the only way in. There's some parking on the street (each side, being one way) just near the hall, but more can be found on Merivale Street which runs parallel to Cordelia and is one way the other way. Finding a park at the end of Merivale simply means a walk around the block. There are some spaces for people with special needs at the back of the community centre grounds down the driveway to the right of the hall entrance.
People are encouraged to car-pool where practical. Closest train is the Southbank station: two blocks walking. Busses are also handy to the area.
Venue:
The Ukrainian Community Centre hall is a great little venue that holds about 250 people. High ceilings, good sitelines and good stage.

Technical Details (for musicians):
Load in from 3pm on the day. If you would like to load in and setup on Friday, let me know: it can be arranged. Load in from the front door (Cordelia St). When loading in, use the onstreet parking.
Soft-opening of the doors at 6:30pm with advertised start at 7:00pm. Noise restrictions from 11:00pm, venue closure at midnight.
First lineup at 7:30pm and, with the exception of the Ferg's set, be about 20-30 min or shorter. If any singers know the songs, they are most welcome to come on stage and grab the other mic's for BV's or co-lead and songs will be extended to suit. Remember, this is a party, not a formal gig.
Thanks
Barry
